Botanical Printing Workshop

Discover the wonder of plants through printmaking

In this evening workshop you’ll be guided through a delightful printing process that allows you to produce unique and beautiful images with ease - no printing press required!

You’ll be working with a gel plate: a flat, squidgy material with a delicate, sensitive surface that allows imprints to be formed and then transferred onto paper. It’s such an exciting activity - with something magical about it!

Using seasonal plant material, this print process reveals the unseen details, and encourages us to slow down and look more closely at the variety of textures, edges, shapes and silhouettes hidden in the nature around us.

Come along and ‘lose yourself’ in this workshop - you will be amazed how much you learn, and you’ll leave with an armful of your own one-off gorgeous botanical inspired prints to wow your friends and family.

The workshop is engaging and accessible, offering a rewarding evening of making, for all levels of experience, and a great introduction to this mildly addictive printing process!

All materials are supplied in this friendly creative adventure, with drinks and nibbles provided - just bring an apron!

Tara is an experienced visual artist and educator, passionate about making creativity accessible and enjoyable for all. Through Waterbank Press, she brings people together to explore the wonder of plants and making, always with an emphasis on technique, discovery, and creativity.
