BOTANY OFFICE: Managing Big Baffling Behaviours

**Training is for Key Assets Carers and families only, not available to the public** 

Caring for children who have experienced trauma can be challenging. This training will increase your knowledge of trauma informed care and help you better respond to and manage those big, baffling trauma behaviours.

You will be introduced to specific parenting approaches to support a child who has experienced trauma including understanding a child's trauma story; the importance of connection and practical strategies to manage emotional dysregulation.

The training will support you to:

• Stay calm under pressure.
• Strengthen your relationship with your child.
• Develop your trauma informed parenting strategies.
• Develop your carer toolkit with practical resources.
