Author Jessica Mansour-Nahra
Now an author, Jessica Mansour-Nahra was a communications consultant and writer in Brisbane, London and Sydney, before tree-changing to a hamlet in Wiradjuri country, where she wrote her debut novel, The Farm. Jessica now lives with her husband and their beloved dog in Tasmania. Jessica holds degrees in history and law from The University of Queensland.

The Burn
A nerve-shredding psychological thriller that asks who and what we cling to when everything starts to burn, from the bestselling author of The Farm 2030. Devastating bushfires have plunged Australia into lockdown. When stay-at-home orders lift, Carmen isn't relieved. Solitude has suited her too well. Carmen's best friend, Eleni, convinces her to join her and her boyfriend, Dan, and their friend Rhett on a road trip. After months apart, Eleni says they need an unplugged week away together: a chance for escape and reconnection, laughter and shared history. But the trip isn't what Carmen expects. The friends try to bond, but everyone has changed. They end up stuck in isolated cabins in dense national parkland. Secrets spill out, new ideals are challenged and bitter arguments erupt. On the final morning, new fires are racing towards them, forcing the group to find another way out. But how, when the friends no longer trust each other with their lives? Tense, timely, propulsive and unnerving, The Burn examines the myths we believe about ourselves and the people we love. With survival at stake, who do we become?

The Farm
The acclaimed bestseller from a stunning new Australian talent: The Farm ripples with the Gothic undertones of Rebecca and enthrals from the very first page. When Leila suffers a health tragedy, her partner, James, suggests a year away from the city. They'll stay on his family farm, where the wide, open spaces and clean country air will help her come to terms with her grief. But the property is remote and the house oppressive. Leila is disturbed by strange noises, fleeting visions and intrusive dreams. James worries that her medication is causing hallucinations. As Leila's isolation grows amid the haunted landscape, so does her suspicion that she isn't the first woman James has relocated to the farm. Is what she's experiencing real? Or is it all in her head? Compulsive and claustrophobic, The Farm asks timely questions about women's bodies, what is expected of them, and who is really in control.
