Boundaries and Professional Practice
Description
Working in the family and domestic violence sector requires practitioners to build trusting, therapeutic relationships while maintaining clear and ethical professional boundaries. This interactive training explores the role of professional boundaries in supporting safe, accountable and sustainable practice, while providing practical strategies for recognising and responding to situations where boundaries may be tested or compromised.
Participants will strengthen their understanding of professional boundary-setting, identify grooming behaviours and other warning signs, and develop skills to navigate complex client interactions with confidence. Through reflective discussion and practical application, practitioners will also explore personal reactivity, effective boundary communication, and the role of supervision and reflective practice in maintaining professional wellbeing.
