Stuart Bourne is the ‘Baron of the Barossa’ with a vast knowledge about all things wine and is one of the greatest characters of the region. Our team had the pleasure of spending time with Stuey during his visit to Brisbane last year, not only is he an excellent winemaker, but his charisma and passion is next to none.

Soul Growers stands for everything that is great about the Barossa; shared wisdom, new ideas, mateship and a passion for making and enjoying great wine. It was born out of a friendship of three dedicated souls who saw the opportunity to join forces and chase their dream of creating wines and a brand that reflected their view of the Barossa.

Stuart "Stuey" Bourne, Senior Winemaker at Soul Growers

Stuart Bourne, our esteemed host, epitomises expertise, passion, and community spirit. Armed with an Agricultural Science Degree in Oenology and Viticulture, he embarked on his winemaking journey in 2002, quickly rising to prominence at Barossa Valley Estate and later Chateau Tanunda, earning accolades for his award-winning red wines.

Beyond winemaking, Stuart's commitment extends to community engagement. As Senior Winemaker at Soul Growers, he fosters relationships with grape growers and champions initiatives spotlighting individual sub-regions. Additionally, Stuart actively contributes to community organizations, including coaching junior cricket and supporting mental health initiatives.

Recognized as the 2020 Barossa Winemaker of the Year, Stuart Bourne's infectious enthusiasm and intellectual passion promise an unforgettable evening, blending the finest wines with the warmth of community spirit.
