    Event description

With so many talented bands and artists in the area, why not make more of a song and dance about it? The Bowlo Mini Fest has send messengers from Stanny to the Gong, proclaiming "hear ye, hear ye: we seek your sonic arts. Come gather ye at the Bowlo on 15 July and share these gifts with your neighbours".

And so have these wonderous beings agreed to meet at the assigned place and time.

The amazing Jodi Phillis will be arriving with her full band, The Silver Stars. Bringing a deeply enigmatic soundscape, classic songwriting and mellifluous vocals, with hints of chamber folk, psychedelia, and melancholy pop.

Now enter the wonderful Aodhan who has promised to deliver something "gentle" with "crisp acoustic guitars and a bed of billowing synths and harmonies". Aodhan has been ripping it up on Triple J.

The famous Blue Divers will be bringing their cavilcade of awesome soundscapes.

At this point - might I mention the range of delicious beers, wines and food that will be available? Fresh jugs of your favourite ales, and the always satisfying range of delightful delicacies from our very on Black Duck restaurant (serving Thai and Modern Australian, including what many musicians have called the nations's best Parmy).

Now let us scintillate you with more musical offerings. The Sweaty Betty's will be bringing the pop punk feels. Misso will have your heart racing with glorious post punk vibes. And if that's not enough, the illustrious Bored Shorts will be serving up a hot cup of warming indie, to replenish your tired soul.

To finish the night, we will head inside to hear what Dan Mac & The Swirly Train has been cooking in his pot of mental minestrone. Step about his intergalactic techno train and visit the planets and the stars to round off a beautiful day.
