BPG Planting - Point Reserve - Rushes 2024
Event description
Bassendean Preservation Group invites you to participate in our next planting event at Point Reserve, where we will be planting rushes.
We have selected a date when the tide will be exceptionally low on a Sunday, and the river is expected to be fresh from the winter rains. This will allow us to plant rushes in the intertidal zone for the first time at Point Reserve.
We encourage local residents and enthusiasts of the area and park to visit and assist with the planting. If there has been recent rain, wearing gumboots is recommended.
Location:
Point Reserve, Bassendean; please follow the signs to the planting site, which is about 200 meters away.
Provided for you:
Gloves, tools for planting, a delightful morning tea, and excellent company.
Please bring:
Water, mosquito repellent, gumboots, and rain gear, particularly if it has been raining in the days leading up to the event.
