BPG Planting - Point Reserve Samphire Planting 2024
Event description
New site, new plants!Â
New to our propagation benches - salt tolerant samphire cuttings, which are thriving and destined for Point Reserve. They should thrive in areas that are frequently flooded with brackish river water.
Bassendean Preservation Group extends an invitation to all for a Samphire planting event at the local Point Reserve.
For the first time we will be putting in our plants at Point Reserve, working alongside the Town of Bassendean to remediate mosquito breeding areas.
We hope that nearby residents and lovers of Point Reserve will come for a look and lend a hand with the planting.
Gumboots are advisable if there has been recent rain.
Location:
Point Reserve, Bassendean; please follow the signs to the planting site (approximately 200m).
What's provided:
Planting tools, a delightful morning tea, and wonderful company.
What to bring:
Water, gloves, mosquito repellent, gumboots, and rain gear, especially if recent days have been rainy.
