BUSTING BLACKBERRIES: ON GROUND MANAGEMENT DEMO DAY
Join Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups to learn about effective and sustainable on ground blackberry management.
Managing blackberries in our landscape is important as they threaten our environment, agricultural production and cultural heritage. Blackberries pose a community-wide challenge. However overcoming blackberries is not impossible, it just takes an understanding of the best practice management techniques.
This FREE half day workshop, with demonstrations, will help you learn how to manage blackberry infestations on your property.
~ Expert talks, including biosecurity, control techniques & legislative requirements
~ Mulching and quick spray demonstrations
~ Using NutriSoil in your management plan
~ A chance to chat with landholders, machinery operators and AgVic staff about what works.

Thursday 23rd October, 10am- 1pm.

This is a FREE event.
Morning tea and lunch provided
Physical Fitness level required: MEDIUM (sitting/standing for up to 2hrs. Includes a paddock walk)
WHAT TO BRING
Pen/paper if you would like to take notes
Water bottle
Bring sun protection and a raincoat or umbrella in case of showers
Camp chair to sit on
If you are unwell on the day please remain at home in consideration of the health of others

While we are able to cater for vegetarian options at our events it is difficult to cater for every dietary requirement due to our limited funding. If you have dietary requirements outside of these two options please bring your own food and drink.
