Event description

BUSTING BLACKBERRIES....AERIAL MANAGEMENT WITH DRONES & HELICOPTERS

Join Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups and Rotor Solutions to learn about effective and sustainable aerial blackberry management with drones and helicopters.

Managing blackberries in our landscape is important as they threaten our environment, agricultural production and cultural heritage. Blackberries pose a community-wide challenge. However overcoming blackberries is not impossible, it just takes an understanding of the best practice management techniques.

Drone application plays an effective role in small and large scale weed management. Utilising the helicopter for all large and reachable areas while simultaneously managing the drone for harder to reach areas or sensitive spots; under trees, around waterways, closer to obstacles and areas too tight for helicopter application.

This FREE half day workshop, with a drone demo, will help you learn how to manage large and difficult to access blackberry infestations on your property.
