Event description

A free practical face-to-face workshop exploring communication strategies and dealing with emotion when relating to young people.

Tuesday 18 March 6.15-7.30pm

The Friends of Bradfield invite parents and carers to this college wide event. Staff & year 11 students are introduced to the same models during this year's Luna Park project in Workplace Skills.
Actors role play various scenarios about family communication when adolescents are testing boundaries, experiencing change, and struggling with identity.

There’s the chance to interact and learn productive ways of managing difficult conversations. This is part of the collegewide 3byThree Program for staff, students, and parents as we build relationships within the community. Here are some quotes from previous parent attendees:

'Very good engagement of audience relating to our experiences with structured approaches. It felt validating and life changing. Well done!

'It felt like you had been sitting in my kitchen that morning. Thank you. Pure gold.'

‘I felt like I was watching myself.’

‘It was good to have time and space to try different things.’

Location: Building A, 213 Pacific Hwy St Leonards 2065
