Braids + Beers is a relaxed afternoon for dads to learn a few simple, genuinely useful hair skills, have a beer and spend time with other local dads. No awkward networking. No parenting lecture. Just a practical session that helps dads feel more confident at home and more connected in the process.

This event is designed for modern dads who want to show up well but do not need another generic parenting talk. You’ll learn a few easy styles you can actually use, get hands-on guidance in a low-pressure setting, and leave feeling more capable than when you walked in. Whether you are doing daycare drop-off, getting your daughter ready for a party, or just want to be more helpful in the everyday chaos, this is for you.

Braids + Beers is also about something bigger. Dad Mode exists to create relaxed, useful spaces where dads can build confidence, learn practical skills and meet other fathers who are figuring it out too. Numbers are intentionally limited to keep it personal, easygoing and real.

This session is for dads, stepdads and father figures who want to learn a few simple hair braiding basics in a relaxed, no-pressure setting. No experience needed. Whether you are completely new to it or just want to be more helpful in the everyday routine, you’ll be in the right room. Come solo and leave with a few practical skills, a bit more confidence and a good excuse for a beer.

Your ticket includes all equipment needed on the day. You do not need to bring anything with you.

You’ll learn the basics of preparing, detangling, tying and braiding hair, with plenty of time to practise and ask questions.

The session is intentionally small so everyone can follow along and get support when they need it.

Come on your own or with a mate. Either way, you’ll be made to feel welcome.
