BrainSTEM SDG Schools Challenge
Event description
The BrainSTEM SDG Schools Challenge is a full-day program that fosters collaboration among students (Year 8-9) and teachers from government, Catholic, and independent schools. Together, we aim to tackle some of the most pressing global issues in communities worldwide, making each participant an integral part of the team.
Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, this program will inspire and equip the next generation of innovators and leaders to positively impact our planet.
Students will:
Work with students from other schools (in mixed teams)
Learn/develop new skills like Design Thinking
Build expertise in problem-solving, critical thinking and brainstorming
Use tools like LEGO for prototyping
Compete against other teams for the best solution
Listen to and learn from industry experts
Present to judges and win prizes
Registrations are capped at 10 students per school.
The program's cost includes all the materials necessary for the workshop, ensuring a hassle-free experience for all participants.
