Event description

Inside every adolescent brain, 86 billion neurons connect and collide to produce the most frustrating, chaotic, and exhilarating changes that happen to human bodies. BRAINSTORM is a theatrical investigation into how teenagers’ brains work, and why they’re designed by evolution to be the way they are. Created in collaboration with neuroscientists Professor Sarah-Jayne Blakemore and Dr. Kate Mills, this performance of BRAINSTORM has been devised with the Birkenhead College Year 12 and 13 Drama class. BRAINSTORM draws directly on their own personal experiences of being a teenager and is an interesting glimpse into why our rangatahi act the way they do.

This performance is R13 - some strong language and themes.

An amateur production of BRAINSTORM by special arrangement with Nick Hern Books and The Play Bureau.
