Brākata Budu - Ecstatic Dance w/live world beats

Brand new percussive duo Brākata Budu features the musical talents of Michael Barker (John Butler Trio/Swamp Thing) and Carlos Riegel (Music Therapist/Full Moon Drumming). Michael and Carlos create an organic soundscape waka on which to embody a journey through ecstatic dance and movement. Brākata Budu creates improvised percussive textures, drones, and dynamic surges in the music that are attuned to the dancers and the energies of the room. Live music helps us connect with our innate dance spirit.

Join us on this exploration of embodied movement and dance as the music guides us into a meditative state of presence and ecstatic release. Together we’ll create a safe and open space to transcend our minds and let go of what no longer serves us to make space for the new to come.
