Join ecologist and turtle specialist Bruno Ferronato for a relaxed walk through the wetland and creek at Croke Place Wetlands. Bruno will share how the wetlands help filter and clean Canberra's stormwater.

As we continue the walk Bruno describe the creatures that call the wetlands and creek home — including Eastern Long-necked Turtles and water bugs. If there’s time we will look for both and do some water bug identification as well!

Biography
Bruno Ferronato (PhD) is an ecologist and turtle specialist, who works at the Ginninderra Catchment Group. He runs Turtle Watch ACT, which monitors turtles in Canberra with the help of volunteers. Bruno is originally from Brazil and has been involved in turtle research since 2004, working in Brazil, Peru, USA and Australia.
