The Brand Summit, an annual thought leadership conference held in Newcastle, is back for its third year after another great response to the 2018 event. Launching in 2017 with a massive audience satisfaction rating, The Brand Summit is one not to be missed. The key role of the event is to showcase contemporary brand thinking - inviting marketers and business leaders to hear from industry experts on all things brand.
This year, three top speakers take the stage to share their ideas on the future of Marketing.

Luke Bould
Leader in Sports Marketing, CMO of the FFA
Luke has worked in the sport and entertainment industry for the past 20 years, across five continents. Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer of Football Federation Australia, he joined FFA after 7 years as Cricket Australia’s Head of Commercial Marketing.
In his current role, he oversees football’s domestic and international broadcast and digital rights, the code’s commercial business including sponsorship and licensing, marketing of the game across all levels including the national football leagues and teams, as well as FFA’s digital network
Luke’s role in the transformation of FFA’s business is displayed by his leadership of the development of a new digital platform for the game, FFA’s largest ever non-football investment. The new Football Network will deliver enhanced experiences for over 2 million participants and 7 million fans across Australia.
During his time in sport, Luke has had unique experience in creating new properties, including developing the commercial model for the KFC T20 Big Bash League, the establishment of football’s FFA Cup and ongoing evolution of the Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League. Most recently he has led the development of FFA’s eSports program and the inaugural E-League, FFA’s eSports competition launched in early 2018. He has also worked as a consultant with a range of sports and entertainment organisations in China, India, South Africa and the UK, as well as with clients in the USA, Middle East and across Asia. Luke is also a member of the Asian Football Confederation’s Marketing Committee, working across Asia on the promotion of the game and AFC’s properties.
Luke holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Marketing.
Andrew Baxter
Adjunct Professor, Senior Advisor, Chairman
After a 20-year career in advertising, ultimately leading two of the world’s largest communications networks (Ogilvy and then Publicis Group) across Australia and the broader region, Andrew recently became a senior member of KPMG's entrepreneurial Customer, Brand & Marketing Advisory business, as well as a senior advisor at BGH Capital and the Adjunct Professor of Marketing at the University of Sydney.
Andrew is a keen speaker and writer on the big issues that are shaping the marketing communications industry. He is a regular columnist for The Australian, and a keynote speaker with Saxton Speakers Bureau.

Justin Jones
Public Speaker, Adventurer
Jonesy is one of Australia’s premier public speakers and adventurers who is constantly pushing the boundaries of human endurance. Jonesy has undertaken a number of large scale expeditions, two in particular have captured global acclaim and attention.
With long time friend, James Castrission, Jonesy made history by completing the longest unsupported polar expedition of all time. No-one had EVER walked from the edge of Antarctica to the South Pole and back without assistance. Many had tried, none had succeeded. 89 days, 2275km, the harshest environment on Earth, No assistance. This expedition is known as Crossing the Ice.
Four years earlier he Crossed the Ditch again with James Castrission – paddling 3318km without assistance across the Tasman Sea for another world first
Jonesy has shared his incredible stories with over 250,000 people around the world and his insights into leadership, teamwork, risk management and how to overcome adversity have captivated global audiences.
He has also produced and directed two award winning documentaries about his expeditions and produced a one hour special for the National Geographic Channel in the US.
