CURATORS TALK: Women of Canberra
Event description
Official histories are often dominated by many worthy men, but who are some of the women that have shaped Canberra? Join Senior Curators Virginia Rigney and Dr Hannah Paddon as they reveal the stories, achievements, and legacies of these women in this illustrated talk.
Our new exhibition, Canberra / Kamberri, Place & People, reveals some of this city’s notable women. Aboriginal elders, business owners, designers, sportswomen and matriarchs - some who you may know and others who have quietly made important contributions to our community.
Free, bookings essential.
