Brave, Not Perfect Tocumwal

A special themed event: Beyond Perfect, Pretty and Soft

Join us for a special themed Brave, Not Perfect event exploring the expectations placed on women and girls to be perfect, pretty, gentle and soft and the freedom that comes when we realise femininity is not one thing.

So often, women are placed into boxes. Not only around how we look, but around how we are expected to carry ourselves, care for others and show up in the world.

Even when women step away from external beauty standards, we can still find ourselves boxed into another kind of “perfect” where inner beauty means always being compassionate, patient, selfless and emotionally available.

But the women we know are more than that.

They are fierce.
They are bold.
They laugh loudly.
They take up space.
They are soft and strong, gentle and powerful, messy and beautiful, all at once.

They are layered, dynamic, brave and beautifully human.

Through storytelling, conversation and guided workshop activities, this event invites women to reflect on the expectations we have inherited, the parts of ourselves we sometimes hide, and the many ways femininity can be expressed, reclaimed and celebrated.

This is a space to show up as you are.

Not polished.
Not perfect.
Not performing.

Just real women, sharing real stories, in a room that reminds us we do not have to shrink to be accepted.
