Brave Women Writers' Retreat in Red Hill: Find Inspiration in Nature

Nature is a pure source of inspiration for woman with a desire to find their voice, free the writer within and develop a writing practice.
This retreat is an invitation to unplug from the busyness of life and reconnect with the natural world on the serene landscapes of our 10-acre property in Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula (just an hours drive from Melbourne).
With your guides Carolyn Tate and Jacqueline Swan, you'll learn several enlivening practices to ignite your creativity and inspire your writing.
Whether you're a seasoned writer or new to the craft, this circle welcomes all women who wish to begin or further their writing projects and practices.
What to expect:
- Create connection to nature through the art of letter-writing.
- Learn about sit-spots and nature-journaling to ignite your creativity.
- Connect to the sacred feminine and your ancestry to write your own short story.
- Share your stories with other women around the campfire circle.
- Enjoy a nutritious vegetarian lunch made from farm-house and local produce.
- Receive a signed copy of Carolyn's book, Brave Women Write.
This retreat is the perfect opportunity to pause, reflect and reawaken your senses through writing.

About your facilitators
The retreat is facilitated by Carolyn Tate and Jacqueline Swan, two nature-connected women who became firm friends at a year-long Nature-Based Leadership Training course with CERES Environmental Park in 2022.
Carolyn Tate is the author of six books including The Purpose Project and Brave Women Write, a book filled with stories inspired by nature. She's a Yarra, Birrarung river swimmer and ecofeminist working on projects of impact for women, community, nature and the environment and is the current custodian of the farm in Red Hill with her partner Ric. Carolyn is the facilitator of the Brave Women Writers' Circle commencing Friday 31 January. Jacqueline Swan is an artist, rewilder, weaver, forager, barefoot wanderer, woman of the land and the founder of Nature Muse. Sheâs a rewilding facilitator and runs regular gatherings guiding individuals in how to connect with themselves, others and the more than human world through creative expression.
