Break the Silence: Domestic Violence Awareness Movie Screenings | Invite only event

You're invited to the screening of three short films addressing domestic violence, presented by Powerful Empowered Women and Euphony Films which is supported by NSW Police and Hills Shire Council .

Migrant Bride (NSW Police Initiative and Euphony Films)

Aussie Victim (NSW Police Initiative and Euphony Films)

Broken Shelter (Euphony Films and Blacktown Council)

In recent years, the rise in domestic violence cases has highlighted the pressing need for broad awareness and action. Short Films addressing domestic violence within the sub-continent community have been crafted, involving consultations with community members and actors from the community. The team recognizes the richness of cultural practices, but when these practices endanger someone's safety and well-being, intervention from police or service providers may be necessary.

Join us at Pioneer Theatre on May 30th, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8 pm for the premiere. Arrive by 5:45 pm for check-in and refreshments, including vegetarian options. A panel discussion on domestic violence and family violence prevention will follow, featuring senior police representatives, community leaders, and the founders of Powerful Empowered Women and Euphony Films as your host.

Please RSVP by COB Friday, May 24th, 2024. Thank you for your support.
