Abbotsleigh Celebrates 140 Years : Breakfast with Mrs Megan Krimmer
Event description
Since 1885, Abbotsleigh has been inspiring girls to lead a purposeful life, to thrive, and to make a positive impact on the world of today and tomorrow.
Miss Marian Clarke opened Abbotsleigh on 20 July 1885 in Mount Street, North Sydney. The school started with 20 young girls and boys who were taught by two teachers. After moving to Parramatta, it was decided in 1898 that the current Wahroonga site was ‘most suitable’. From that time forward, Abbotsleigh became a girls’ only school and has flourished ever since.
The Rotary Club of Wahroonga invite you to join us for breakfast as Headmistress Mrs Megan Krimmer shares with us some of the history of the school, her passion for educating young women and the driving forces that will shape the future.
Sip your coffee, savor a delicious breakfast, and immerse yourself in a wonderful morning of history.
