Breathe is a two part offering designed to help you understand your breath, the effects of your breath in your body, and explore different ways it can be used to support your wellbeing.

Choose the session that feels right for you, or attend them both for a complete experience. Both sessions are beginner friendly and gently informed and guided throughout. No previous breath work is experience is needed.

BREATHE: FOUNDATIONS

Sunday 27th September 5-6pm

Foundations combines accessible breathing education with gentle to moderate guided practice.

We'll explore how breathing influences the body and nervous system, recognise some common breathing patterns, and practice simple techniques that can be used in everyday life. The session will then move into a guided breath work experience incorporating both calming and more active breathing.

This session is ideal if you're new to breath work, curious about the science behind it, or would like to build a greater confidence before exploring a more immersive practice.

BREATHE: RELEASE

Sunday 4th October 5-6pm

Release places greater emphasis on the guided breath work experience, allowing a deeper journey through breath, music and deep rest.

With less time on education this session allows you to settle more fully into the experience. You'll be guided through a longer combination of active and restorative breathing practices designed to shift your state, create space and reconnect with yourself.

Release is still suitable for beginners. Everything will be clearly explained, and you are always encouraged to work at your own pace, pause or return to your natural breath whenever needed.

Places are limited to six people per session, creating a warm, intimate and personally guided experience.

WHAT'S PROVIDED

Yoga mats, bolsters, blankets and all other props are provided. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Avoid eating a large meal immediately before the session.

LOCATION

Bhava Rituals studio in Granite Rock, just 10 minutes from Bairnsdale. The studio is in the far end of the light grey shed.

IMPORTANT HEALTH INFORMATION

These sessions include intentional breathing practices. Some techniques, particularly in Release, will involve faster breathing, breath holds, and temporary changes in physical or emotional sensation.

These practices may not be suitable during pregnancy or for people with certain cardiovascular, neurological, respiratory, blood pressure, eye or mental health conditions.
