BREATHE IN
Event description
Breathe In is multimedia piece incorporating poetry, film, music and projection that reveals how fragile the line between connection and isolation can be. It is a collaborative disability-led work that explores an alienating alternate world of existence.
The two lead performers, Georgia Cranko (Melbourne, VIC) and Brenden Borellini (Mackay, QLD) give a captivating and also disturbing insight into what they as people who use alternate communication need to do to survive in a world that can be frightening, unrelenting and inaccessible.
Breathe In reflects on their relationship to home, their mothers, their connection to each other and the support and safety that comes through the sharing of lived experience.
