Welcome to our final Cacao & Somatic Dance Journey for 2024!

Breathing Space is a somatic dance experience that invites you to explore the deep connection between your breath, body, and the earth beneath you. In this space, we’ll use movement, breathwork, and guided exploration to cultivate expansion within and around us—creating more room to breathe, feel, and simply be, so that you can experience more spaciousness in your daily life.

Focusing on the relationship between the lungs, earth, and space, we will journey through the process of releasing physical and emotional blockages, creating room for growth, release, and rejuvenation. As the lungs expand and contract, so does the earth beneath us, reminding us of the rhythmic pulse of life.

Together, we will tap into this natural flow, using somatic dance to connect more deeply with our inner selves and the world around us.

What to Expect:

Opening Circle welcoming Cacao: We'll begin in circle opening our space, welcoming Mama Cacao Start and with a guided meditation to center your energy and bring awareness to the breath and body. Connect with the earth beneath you and feel its support.
Guided Breathwork: You'll be guided into a short breathwork sequence to begin to open to the space within you, taking this conscious breath into your movement journey
Breath-Focused Movement: Through gentle, fluid somatic dance, we will focus on the expansion and contraction of the lungs, allowing breath to guide the movement and release tension in the body.
Free Flow & Creative Expression: Open your body and mind to intuitive movement, exploring the themes of space, release, and expansion. This is your time to dance with your breath and explore your full range of motion, where all of your movements and expressions are welcome.
Closing Circle & Reflection: End the session in a relaxed state, coming together to reflect on the experience and integrate the work done in the body. Share insights and connect with those you have shared this dance journey with.
