Join Prana & Co x Anveshak for a Breathwork and Freeform Dance Event.

BENEFITS

During practices such as meditation, breathwork and dance, we disconnect from the mundane states of our everyday life and connect to a deeper, trance-like state. Entering realms where the mind is liberated, such as happens in states of deep sleep, can also be achieved during these sessions. Those who engage in these practices are known to experience enhanced creativity, intuition, memory, and learning.


BREATHWORK

Settling into a space of true relaxation, we create an opportunity to observe our breath. Consciously inhaling and exhaling and building awareness, the mind naturally lets go, focusing inward, being present. Breathing dictates so much of how the body behaves; becoming expert in managing this allows us to shift, voluntarily, to a calmer, connected self.

We harness the power inherent in breath and use it to regain command over processes of the nervous system and our physiology. When this is achieved, we seek to also recalibrate our thoughts and emotions to release trauma, be grateful and conscious of the present moment. Such discipline is key in being intentional in progressing on the path to an understanding of ourselves. In these moments, we open up to transformation and eliminate limitations, forming the foundation for self-actualisation. 

FREEFORM DANCE

Forgetting structure, shedding self-awareness and rewilding is at the core of ecstatic dance. In abandoning ourselves to the music, we are able to access vibrations within our own being that can be silenced by the noises of judgment, of fear and embarrassment. By creating a space where we practice radical non-judgement and allow the rhythm to take command, many dancers will feel themselves enter a trance-like state where true ecstasy can be experienced.

It is difficult to describe the sense of peacefulness that ensues such sessions. Nor can the beauty of the connectedness and energy exchange between the dancers be brought into words. Such rewilding experiences shows us that seeking to remove outside influences, letting our own nature take over, can restore us to states of tranquility and experiencing the love which we, at Prana & Co, believe is the fabric of the Universe.

In combining the inward mastery of breathwork with the outward expressiveness of such movement, these evenings are deeply restorative.

ITINERARY

30 minutes of Breathwork to connect

45 minutes of Freeform Dance to release

15 minutes Breathwork/Meditation to soothe

PREPARATION

Come with an open heart and mind.

Everyone is welcome. As with all Prana & Co events, we cultivate inclusivity in judgment-free spaces.

Alcohol and drug free event. 

Technology and conversation free (on the floor).

Designated rest areas outside.

Wear comfortable clothing and easily removed footwear (we are barefoot while dancing).

Bring a yoga mat to lie on for Breathwork (cushion & blanket for comfort if desired).

Bring a water bottle 

Preferably an empty belly 2 hours prior to the event.

Please be respectful of others, their personal space and understand that all participants will varying levels of comfort.

6:15pm arrival would be appreciated for a 6:30pm start.
