Breathwork is exploding the last few years - with good reason!! It's a profound modality to help clear stored emotions, heal the past, let shit go and tap into infinite creative ideas, solutions and deep intuition!!

This breathwork ceremony is designed to meet you where you are at and to empower with your own BREATH!

Our breath is our life force, we breathe in oxygen created by plants and trees in the ngāhere which helps to fuel us every day without us having to think about it. Our breath is an indication of our overall health and wellbeing. How deeply do we breathe or is our breath more shallow? Breathwork is a modality that can be used to support our health, mauri, and emotional self.

In this breathwork ceremony, the space will be held in a way that is full of ritual and incredibly safe space by an internationally renowned and qualified breathwork facilitator - Loren Honey. She brings a wealth of knowledge and weaves together many modalities to create a breathwork experience like no other. During this 3 hour ceremony, you'll be guided through some pranayama exercises, a full 60min conscious connected breathwork journey with space for sharing about your experience at the end if you want to share. You'll leave with more tools to support you in your day to day life and a profound expereince.

Who is facilitating?

Loren Honey is facilitating this breathwork ceremony. She is an internationally renowned and qualified breathwork facilitator and regularly helps the Owaken Breathwork founders Lukis and Hellè hold their workshops when they are in the same city. Loren brings a wealth of experience to the spaces she holds and has done many trainings to be at the high level of skilled embodiment.

Where is the ceremony;

Held at The Holistic Hub, 152 Kepa Road, Orakei, Auckland.

When is the ceremony;

Sunday 18th July from 2 pm - 5 pm

What to bring;

- yoga mat if you have one

- a blanket (during the breathwork journey your body temperature may go up or down)

- water bottle

- pen and paper

- wear comfy clothes

Who is it for?

If your reading this then you’re either curious about trying breathwork or you already have experienced conscious connected breathwork and want to dive deeper while in a safely held container like this. Welcome!

If you are new to breathwork and you feel nervous about attending please know that is so normal and you will be so safely held within this space by Loren and her team of support people. You are so welcome to get in touch with Loren directly and ask any questions about it.

Who is it not for?

If you have any of the below contraindications listed below then this might not be the best option for you. If you arent sure or have any questions about any of these please email Loren directly loren (at) lorenhoney.com. In some situations, such as pregnancy, you may still be able to do a more gentle form of breathwork which Loren can support you with.

Note: Breathwork results in certain specific physiological changes in the body and also can result in intense physical and emotional release. As a precaution, the following conditions are contraindicated in certain breathwork practices. It is crucial that you inform your breathwork practitioner if any of the following conditions are relevant to you:

- Pregnancy (at any stage)

- Severe PTSD or trauma

- Currently using recreational drugs

- Taking any medication that alters brain chemistry like anti-anxiety, anti-depressant, ADD, OCD medications, etc.

- Detached Retina

- Glaucoma

- Kidney disease

- High Blood Pressure

- Cardiovascular disease, including angina, previous heart attack or stroke

- Diagnosis of aneurysm in the brain or abdomen

- Uncontrolled thyroid conditions

- Diabetes

- Severe Asthma— for mild to moderate asthma, we can discuss but you must bring your inhaler to the session

- Epilepsy

- History of Seizures

- Prior diagnosis of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or previous psychiatric condition

- Any other medical, psychiatric or physical conditions which would impair or affect the ability to engage in any activities that involve deep physical and/or emotional release

*Please note there may be photos taken during this 3 hour workshop and by attending you agree to photography that may have you in it. Please let Loren know if that is a problem
