Childhood trauma has an impact on every aspect of our lives especially love, sex, and our relationship with money.

Our childhood trauma impacts how we love (ourselves/others) and who we love, it shows up as anxious and avoidant attachment styles. It impacts how safe and secure we feel. It affects our ability to see, love and accept ourselves. It leads to us feeling unworthy and undeserving, often seeking validation and approval outside of ourselves to feel good. And thus staying in toxic patterns and relationships within our communities and workplace.

Childhood trauma also impacts how we parent. It leads to us projecting our trauma, anxiety and fear of unworthiness onto our children.

A lot of us were unmothered or had absent fathers. This is an opportunity to mother/father your inner child and heal your childhood trauma.

Is your inner child running a muck and throwing tantrums all over the place? Is your inner child running your life by appearing at the most inopportune moments (amidst argument with your partner where you're being super petty, dating situationships where you are unable to uphold boundaries, feeling small and insecure at work). Those wounded little versions of you are deeply sensitive and still here trying to resolve past hurt- maybe conditional parenting, being shamed, the loss/death of a parent. Maybe feeling alone because of being abandoned or not cared for....

When was the last time you checked in with your lil guy or girl inside of you..... your inner child?

This is an opportunity to befriend your inner child. Let them know that they no longer need to protect you and that the empowered adult that is you is there to love and hold them. Because you deserve this healing; your children deserve this healing; your partner deserves this healing.

6 years ago I learned that trauma is stored in our bodies and I was pissed!!! to realise that all the mental gymnastics we do in talk therapy gives our conscious mind context and language to conceptualise our trauma but doesn't really actually heal the trauma. Because trauma healing happens in the body and God only knows how afraid we are of being in our bodies, of being our primal true selves.

This workshop is a chance to be that, be in our bodies, in community and heal together. Because we were never meant to do it alone. Even if it feels a bit scary.

What will we do?

1-2:30pm - Intros; inner child healing discourse; the what, how and why of conscious connected breath along with a demo.

2:30-4:00pm - Breathwork journey designed to release trauma stored in the body

4-5pm - Integration, processing and sharing

Full transparency-

I believe in slow healing, I do not rush the process, I am in it to go deep with you.

My events tend to run over because everyone is usually buzzing in the end and want to hang around and chat.

It's best not to schedule anything socially taxing after the event.

What to bring on the day:
-Journal and pen
-Water Bottle
-An open heart and mind
-An intention for the journey
-Wear loose clothes that you can move in, bring socks and warm clothes if you tend to get cold

On the day of-

No coffee/caffeinated drinks in the morning

No fried and heavy foods after 12pm.

Bring a small snack bar or fruit for the day if you tend to get hungry

Richa K Ekka- is an indigenous woman from the Oraon tribes of Eastern India. She has been holding safe space for over 10 years in India, USA, Mexico and Australia. When she found breathwork, it was love at first sight experience. She knew that breathwork was going to be part of her personal healing journey and also a big part of her offerings. She has been hosting breathwork workshops online and in person for the past 5 years and supremely trusts your body, its intelligence and the healing that breath facilitates. JP Heon- is highly intuitive and his superpower is his sensitivity. He has been lovingly dragged into the world of breathwork by his wife (Richa) and ever since there has been no looking back. JP has his own personal breathwork practice for the past 4 years and supports Richa in facilitating breathwork events. He brings his beautiful French masculine energy into the space and balances the energetics in the most divine way possible.

Both Richa and JP have spent the last 2 years grieving the loss of their beautiful baby girl- Jia who ascended into the heavens at 9 days old. They have met themselves in the depths of darkness, the actual death portal, thus have the capacity to meet you in your depths.
