Breathwork for emotional and spiritual Wellbeing
Event description
Breathers: Ancient Wisdom, Modern Science
Breathwork for Emotional and Spiritual Wellbeing
Breathing is more than survival — it is the meeting point of body, mind, and spirit. Across cultures and centuries, breath has been recognized as sacred: From the bible, Buddha, and other ancient texts, to modern science we are thought that breath is spirit, a bridge between body and something beyond the body-mind.
I guide mindfulness and Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB), a therapeutic style breathwork that gently opens pathways for emotional release, resilience, and spiritual connection.
Sessions are designed with safety and compassion at the centre:
Begin with a grounding meditation, helping you arrive fully into the body and presence.
Experience guided mindful CCB practice, blending music, breath, awareness and compassion.
Conclude with integration and reflection, plus a take-home grounding practice (recording provided).
Ancient wisdom and modern science are woven throughout, offering practical insights for healing, wholeness, and peace.
This practice is suitable for most people, though not recommended during pregnancy, for those with severe heart conditions, or with active psychosis.
I currently facilitate breathwork at the trauma recovery unit, Rivendell mental health ward, North West Private Hospital, and I am the main trainer alongside clinical psychologists and other mental health professionals in The Breathers: Mindfulness and Breathwork for Trauma Recovery training course. I also serve on the Integrity Committee of the Australian Breathwork Association (ABA)
I was born — and learned to breathe — in Jerusalem, a place where divisions run deep, where wars, faith, and miracles intertwine. From there I carry one simple truth: we all share one sky, one earth, one breath, one spirit.
Join us on this intriguing journey of finding peace within conflicts.
Bring a yoga mat / mattress. blanket, water bottle and notebook and pen if you'd like to take notes.
With love,
Gilad
