Event description

Breathwork Playshop: The Embodied Self

Join Dr Polly at the beautiful St Luke’s Community Health Hub for a 3-hour session of embodied practice to reveal, restore and renew your connection to Self through breathwork and vagal tuning.

This workshop is for anyone with a body, a heart, a mind and a nervous system who wants to bring their whole self into alignment in a connected intentional breathwork experience. No experience necessary, some medical contraindications with breathwork can be accommodated with modifications on the day check FAQs here. This is a trauma informed and fully inclusive workshop, so feel safe to bring your whole self with pride.

The workshop will begin with a simple and assessable explanation of the neurobiology of breathwork, a demo of the breathing pattern, then participants will lie down and breathe for about an hour with a curated soundscape to enhance the experience. Afterwards there will be a group integration to connect and share the experience.

About Dr Polly: Polly McGee (they/them) is a trauma trained somatic psychotherapist, author, leadership consultant and all-purpose human being. All profits from this workshop are being donated to their Compassionate Grounds Project which funds therapeutic support for vulnerable people.
