    Event description

    Gain new clarity and understanding of self, with Holistic Breathwork.

    Holistic Breathwork is a tool for self-exploration that quietens the thinking mind and awakens new insights and understandings of self. With the use of a unique breathing practice, called Conscious Connected Breathwork, participants of this immersive workshop will be supported to explore their inner world with their breath. This day-long program will create a space for you to achieve your growth potential, expand your awareness, shed outdated thoughts and behavioural patterns, foster a connection with yourself and others, and allow you to redefine and embrace your true spirit. Through the use of conscious-connected breathwork and holistic psychotherapy/counselling, this workshop will support you to:

    • access a deeper understanding of self and your experience of life;
    • quiet the thinking mind (mental chatter) and access the wisdom of the subconscious mind and body;
    • gain new information and clarity about life;
    • release old and outdated stories about yourself and how you are in this world;
    • let go of held or 'hidden' physical, emotional and mental patterns and stories;
    • bring your heart, body and mind into alignment; and
    • access a deeper understanding of your spirituality and connection to Earth.

    Transition Breath’s breathwork programs are trauma-informed and apply holistic psychotherapy principles to every session. Holistic Breathwork is ideal for people: wanting to explore their subconscious; to find greater meaning and life purpose; and/or want to improve mental health conditions such as chronic stress, anxiety, depression and trauma. Transition Breath’s offerings are endorsed by Australia’s peak breathwork organisation, the Australian Breathwork Association, and is a member of the International Breathwork Foundation.

    This day-long breathwork workshop is open to anyone wanting more inner freedom and peace. All levels of experience, all bodies, all types of sexualities and cultural backgrounds are welcome. This is a queer-friendly event.

    About Joshua:

    I’m a Canberra-based advanced breathwork practitioner, specialising in both individual and group breathwork sessions. Commencing my private practice in 2018 (Transition Breath), I have since travelled the world seeking to develop and enhance my understanding of this breathwork technique. I am influenced by rebirthing breathwork, Holotropic breathwork, Vipassana meditation, natural movement/bioenergetics, nature-based shamanic processes (Vision Quests) and plant medicines.

    I am a proud member of our LGBTIQ+ community and have roots in rural Australia. I feel passionately about the power of breathwork to support people's journey through life. My practices include Kriya Yoga, breathwork, Earth-connection traditions and plant-medicine ceremonies. I use breathwork as a tool to enhance inner freedom, as a means to awaken soul-consciousness, and form right relationship with our Earth and all its beings.

    I'm a certified Holistic Psychotherapy/Counsellor with Lee Trew's Connection Culture, and have studied breathwork since 2016. I'm a registered breathwork practitioner and facilitator with the Australian Breathwork Association and the International Breathwork Foundation.
