Brewers series- Introduce brewers cup scoresheet
Event description
Every year many baristas compete at the ASCA Brewers Cup for the best barista of pour-over (drip coffee) in Australia
There is a scoring system for judging coffee, and numbers and systems are used to help us determine how good the coffee and the barista's performance are. You will see a different perspective on coffee qualification instead of just liking or disliking the coffee. I want a number that gives great feedback for improvement and understanding of the coffee’s quality and why you provide the scores
We will try to dig into this score system for the coffee quality.
One person will make the coffee, and the others will practice the score. We will probably also have some time to play with different brew methods and brewing styles if you want to present your coffee in front of us.
This is great for those who want to complete and improve their sensory assessing skills of coffee. It’s okay if you don’t understand much about coffee, we are all learning.
