Padre Coffee Brewing Workshop: Cold Brew & Cold Drip

If you prefer your coffee over ice, are looking for tips on how to brew cold coffee at home, or are just intrigued to learn a different method of brewing coffee, this is the workshop for you. Join us as one of our knowledgable baristas explains and demonstrates two different methods for brewing cold coffee, and sample the results. 

Brewing coffee with a method which is specifically designed for it to be served cold, helps ensure a well-balanced cup profile. You may have seen both these types of beverages on cafe menus and wondered what the difference is. While both cold brew and cold drip have deliciously complex flavour profiles, there is a lot that differs in terms of flavour profile and equipment required. 

In this workshop, we will break down the differences between cold brew (which uses a full immersion brewing technique) and cold drip (a method with controlled flow of water through coffee). We'll walk you through a recipe that we use for each method and taste a sample of each brew type. 

Although this is a free event, numbers will be capped at 10 to ensure there is enough coffee to go around. Be sure to secure your spot as we will be unable to allow walk-ins on the day.

• Learn the principles of brewing cold drip and cold brew
• Learn what sets these brew methods apart from each other
