Step back to where Bright began.
Join local historian Diann Talbot on a one-hour twilight lantern walk through the town's gold rush days, past the old buildings that still hold their stories.
At twilight the streets of Bright will come alive with the sparkling lights of the Bright Winter Festival. Walking with your own lantern you can feel the winter spirit and history come alive.
The evening ends glühwein in hand, walk the streets and enjoy the glow of the fire and the festival around you.
Part history, part twilight ritual. A gentle walk suited to all ages, finishing exactly where the evening comes alive in the centre of Bright.
Meeting point
Centenary Park "Lest we Forget" front entrance gates.
5.30 departure
Walking for 1 hour learning about Brights old buildings and history of the goldrush.
Children are welcome accompanied by parent or guardian.
Finishing in the town centre with a complimentary gluwein both alcoholic and non alcoholic options

- Will this event go ahead if it rains?
Yes- this event will be held rain, hail or shine...so dress accordingly.
- Is this walk difficult
We will be walking at a relaxed stroll pace with regular stops. Mostly on sealed paths. 1.2km approx
- Do I need a torch
Adults over 16 will have the opportunity to carry a Kerosene Lantern- a lovely soft ambient light.
If you require additional light, please bring own torch or phone light
Unfortunately under the age of 16 strictly cannot carry a Kerosene Lantern
- Do you have non alcoholic options
Yes.
You can choose Alcoholic or non Alcoholic gluwein.
You will have the opportunity to enjoy at our final stop North East Wine Bar.
- Are children welcome
Yes, children are welcome and must be accompanied by an parent or guardian. Children under 12 tickets available.
Unfortunately Children under 16 strictly cannot carry or use kerosene lantern during tour.
