Bright Sparks: Sutherland Shire Youth Design Challenge
Event description
The nandin Innovation Centre at ANSTO is partnering with the Sutherland Shire Council to host "Bright Sparks: Sutherland Shire Youth Design Challenge".
Young people (aged 12-25 who reside in the Sutherland Shire) are invited to participate in a half-day workshop, centred on using design innovation methods to tackle challenges that are important to your youth community. Our challenge in the workshop will focus on a key priority area identified from the recent Sutherland Shire Youth Survey. This will be a hands-on workshop format, using design thinking to understand the end-user, uncover the root problem, brainstorm creative solutions, and develop prototypes. You will have the opportunity to pitch your solution to local business professionals and Sutherland Shire Councillors to determine the best next steps for your community.Â
Lunch and snacks will be provided.
Please note: this event is only open to those aged 12-25, residing in the Sutherland Shire.
