Bright. Young. Things
Event description
Second year Theatre students from Te Kawau Toi, Wintec's Bachelor of Music and Performing Arts present Bright. Young. Things. Georgia Christou's play dives into the lives of six young, incredibly bright contestants competing on a reality TV show called Britain's Brainiest Child. The prize? The coveted Golden Brain Trophy.
Through the course of the play, we watch these kids face unexpected challenges and tough questions, all while grappling with their identities and the pressures of the competition.
It’s sharp, fast-paced, and full of humour, but beneath it all, there’s a deeper exploration of what it really means to "win" and how success, or failure, can shape these young minds in ways they never saw coming.
Three performances: 12, 13 + 15 June from 7pm.
