Brighton Village Mural Painting Day
Event description
Make your mark on the Brighton Village wall!
Under the guidance of local artist Peter Ryan, help paint the 54m wall facing Marmion Avenue.
Peter Ryan is a Perth based contemporary artist who specializes in oil paintings and pencil drawings. With a background in animation and script writing, he enjoys incorporating his passion for storytelling into his artwork.
Peter is inspired to recreate already picturesque environments into stylized trendy artwork, paying particular attention to the vivid palette of the landscape, but at the same time entertaining the onlooker through the tales of the characters.
His artwork has always been referred to as bright, colourful, fun, funny, sweet, entertaining and uplifting. Peter has an inimitable style to his art, it is very recognisable and he adapted it to many mediums including, oil painting, pencil, outdoor murals and more.
Peter will divide up the wall in 6 sections, and oversee 8 painters per session. He will have pre-determined areas and paint ready to follow a 'paint by number' activity.
Please note that photos and videos will be taken on the day.
Bookings are required to take part in the activity, and onlookers are welcome to come and see the mural come to life.
