Brimbank's Recycle & Repair Day - November 2026
Description
Give your items a second life at Brimbank’s Recycle & Repair Day!
Got household items you no longer need? Bring them along to Recycle & Repair Day, a free community event for Brimbank residents.
You can drop off a range of hard-to-recycle household items, get help with basic bike repairs, have a broken electrical appliance assessed, and learn more about what happens to your items after they are recycled.
What can I drop off?
Bring household quantities of the following items to our waste drop-off:
E-waste: Anything that plugs in or runs on batteries, such as TVs, computers and small appliances.
Batteries: All household batteries, including batteries in toys and other items with built-in batteries.
White goods: Fridges, dryers, washing machines, ovens and dishwashers. Maximum 2 per household.

The event is free for Brimbank residents. Please bring proof of your Brimbank address, such as a driver’s licence or rates notice.

Repair and learn
There’s more to do than just drop off your items!
Bike repairs
Need a hand with your bike? Our friends at Footscray Community Bike Hub will be there to provide help with basic bike maintenance and repairs.
If you would like assistance with your bike, you will need to book into bike repair timeslot separately to the waste drop off event. You can book in your bike repair time here: Free Bike Checks: Brimbank's Recycle & Repair Day - November 2026
Electrical repair assessments
Electrical repair experts from All Appliances will be joining us to provide repair assessments and answer your questions about looking after your household electronics.
Bring along a broken electrical appliance to have it assessed or drop by to ask questions and learn more about repairing and caring for your appliances.
Learn how your items are recycled
Meet some of our recycling partners and find out what happens to your materials after you drop them off.
You can learn about the recycling process, ask questions and discover how your everyday items can be given a second life.
There will be space to park, grab a coffee and get involved!
