BrisAsia Dance Battles 2024 - Qualifiers (Day 1)
Event description
The BrisAsia Dance Battles return in 2024 as part of the BrisAsia Festival.
One of Queensland’s biggest street dance events is back again, hosting international guests and some of Australia’s finest to Brisbane for two days of exhilarating freestyle dance competitions and social dance. Up for grabs: Cash Prizes, International Flights, Accommodation and Wildcard Entry into Radikal Forze Jam, Asia’s biggest independent international dance festival, to be held in Vietnam March 2024.
Day 1 Qualifiers will feature a qualification draw for 3 categories: Hip Hop 1v1, Popping 1v1 and Open Styles 1v1. This is not a day to miss, with over 6 hours of battles to feature.
Day 2 Finals will see the top dancers from the qualifications compete in Queen Street Mall for the ultimate prize. Expect to see dancers from a range of styles represent their communities, including Hip Hop, Popping, Krump, House, Locking, Waacking, Dancehall and more.
With world-renowned international guests Kyoka and Maika from Japan and top artists from across Australia on the line-up, you won’t want to miss this calendar event showcasing the best in Australian and Asian Street Dance.
BrisAsia Festival is produced by Sound Across Oceans and is presented by Brisbane City Council. BrisAsia Dance Battles are brought to you by the 2nd Degree Crew.
