The Brisbane Basket Brigade Community Wrapping & Packing Day is back for 2024 and is set to take place on Saturday 14 December at John Paul College at Daisy Hill.

We'd love you to join us on Saturday 14 December to ensure that over 2,000 baskets of food and over 3,000 presents are sorted, wrapped and ready for delivery by our Volunteer Delivery Drivers on 15 December to a family or individual in the greater Brisbane community that has fallen on hard times or might be doing it tough this Christmas to let them know that they are not alone, to show that somebody cares and to remind them of the true spirit of Christmas.

We welcome children to our packing weekend (it is Christmas after all) and we want to make sure that they also get to experience the joy of giving back at Christmas. If you are bringing a minor they MUST hold a valid ticket in their own name. To register a ticket for a minor please ensure that you complete the First Name section of the ticket to include your name as guardian/parent for (e.g. John Smith as parent/guardian for Jayne) and then complete the child’s last name in the last name field.

If you are wanting to deliver to one of our outer Brisbane zones we will have limited availability for you to take those with you when you leave on Saturday. Please select that option when registering.

For regular participants in our Community Volunteer Day you will notice a change in this years registration. There are no specific roles to register for, all registrations are as General Packing Day Volunteer. This will be a 4-hour session where you could be doing a range of activities from wrapping and sorting gifts, sorting food and packing food bags, assembling and decorating gift boxes and/or preparing the gift boxes ready for delivery.

This year's Packing Event will be held at John Paul College at Daisy Hill in the Coleman Centre [B8] with parking available on the campus and just a short walk to the venue, click JPC campus map.
