Looking for a fun event to get your corporate or workplace team involved in this Christmas?
The Brisbane Basket Brigade's Annual Corporate Packing Day will take place on Friday, 9 December 2022. This one day event invites Corporate teams and workplaces to our packing location to help us get a massive head start on the first day of our 3 day packing weekend to ensure that 2,000+ baskets of food and over 4,000 presents are sorted, wrapped and ready for delivery by our Community Packing Weekend Delivery Drivers on 11 December to a family or individual in the greater Brisbane community that has fallen on hard times or might be doing it tough this Christmas to let them know that they are not alone, to show that somebody cares and to remind them of the true spirit of Christmas.
The experience provides a fun and festive team building activity, while making a difference to the lives of others in our very own community.
What activities are undertaken on the Corporate Packing Day?
It’s certainly no small task to get started on our packing weekend and to make a big headway on our packing weekend tasks. Some of the activities our corporate and workplace teams will undertake may include:
- receiving deliveries from our Corporate sponsors
- preparing and decorating our gift boxes
- sorting, auditing and counting gifts into the relevant age groups
- gift wrapping (lots of gift wrapping)
- packing bags of food
Schedule
We have 2 sessions available for our Corporate and workplace volunteers:
Session 1 9:00am to 12:00pm - Friday, 9 December 2022
Session 2 1:00pm to 4:00pm - Friday, 9 December 2022
Each session will include a sign in, welcome speech, instructions on the different activities available and a safety instruction.
Why is there a fee to help?
We place a small fee on our team volunteering opportunities to help raise vital funds for additional food, gifts and administration fees that go hand in hand in making our packing weekend a success.

Venue
This year's Packing Day will be held at John Paul College at Daisy Hill. The event will be held in the Coleman Centre (marked CC on the JPC campus map) and there will be parking available in the Markwell car park at the end of John Paul Drive. From the car park, it's just a short walk via the boom gates to the venue!
