Brisbane: Landmarks, Landscapes and Personalities Paint Out & Closing Event

As a part of the Brisbane: Landmarks, Landscapes and Personalities exhibition, RQAS is hosting a free plein air Paint Out session in Roma Street Parklands on Saturday, 25th of May at 10am. This is an opportunity for participants to socialise with other artists, create in a group and appreciate Brisbane. Participants will need to supply their own art materials.

For the Paint Out the meeting point will be 10am at the lagoon in front of the waterfall. One of the gallery staff members will be at the meeting point to help everyone get settled. Attendees are welcomes to stay for as long as they like and paint wherever they like in Roma Street Parklands. We will also be taking a few photos of the event, please let the staff member know if you don't want to be in any photos.

We will have RQAS brochures for attendees to hand out if any park visitors ask about the event. If you have any leftovers they can be dropped back to the gallery, or handed out to any other contacts you think may be interested.

After the paint out, participants are then welcome to come back to Petrie Terrace Gallery for the Closing Event of the Brisbane: Landmarks, Landscapes and Personalities exhibition. At the closing event we will be announcing the People's Choice Award! Nibbles will be provided and drinks are available for purchase.

Paint Out at Roma Street Parklands: 10am - 1pm (free event)

Closing Event: 2pm - 4pm (Tickets available for purchase)

Tickets for Closing Event:

• Members: $5
• Non-Members: $15

If you would also like to park your car near Petrie Terrace Gallery, you can pay for an additional $5 ticket which will cover a taxi to Roma Street Parklands, and another taxi back to the gallery for the closing event.
