Brisbane LGBT+ & Allies In Tech Drinks 2026
Description
It pleases me (Ash) very much to invite you to the first 2026 meet at our new venue, The Ship Inn. Join us for a drink (alcohol optional), finger food, and good times.
This is a social pub meetup, so it's a great way to meet like-minded LGBTQIA+ folks in the Brisbane tech community, for networking, chats, and generally making friends.
👉 Coming alone? Don't sweat it. Most people do! Look for Ash (with the name tag!) and I'll introduce you to someone straight away.
So hit RSVP, share with your friends, and join us! It would be great to see you there.
🏳️🌈 When you arrive
You can find us outside in either the beer garden or under the veranda, depending where our reservation is. If you're lost, we'll have a sign on the table with the meetup name and logo so you can spot us.
It's common sense stuff, but please also have a quick read of our code of conduct. We look forward to seeing you!

If you're LGBTQIA+ or an ally, and your jam is working or playing with data, UI/UX, software, hardware, or anything in the tech neighbourhood its definitely for you! Why not come along & find out? 🌈
- How do I get there?
It's at the foot of the Goodwill Bridge so you could walk from the city, catch a train to South Bank Station, or it's a ~16 minute walk from the Cultural Centre Busway Station. There's paid parking at South Bank if you're driving in.
- I have dietary requirements
We'll usually have chips to share for the table, however they're not gluten free. If you'd like to order a full meal there are vegan and gluten free options. Check the menu at https://theshipinn.com.au/
