Bristol BID Gardening Club - Temple Gardens
Description
Join our monthly Gardening Club to help enhance Temple Gardens, a small but historic green space in the heart of the city centre.
Volunteers will help tidy and rejuvenate the large, empty flower beds alongside the church, improving the appearance of the garden while creating more opportunities for nature to thrive.
Each month, the session will involve a range of tasks, including weeding, planting bulbs and new plants, and litter picking. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or completely new to gardening, there’s a task for everyone.
There are two one-hour sessions to choose from: 12pm–1pm and 1pm–2pm. Please book the session you plan to arrive for, as the team will explain the day’s tasks and provide any equipment you need.
You’re welcome to stay for as little or as long as you like. If you’d like to volunteer for the full two hours, simply book the 12pm session. There’s no need to book both time slots.
All tools and materials are provided; simply come prepared for the weather. A waterproof coat, shoes you don’t mind getting muddy and a drink are recommended.
This volunteering project is delivered in partnership with English Heritage, the guardians of Temple Church, which opened to the public in 2023. Find out more about Temple Church.
