Rupert Noffs is a trained singer, actor, writer and producer — a cabaret force described as “pitch perfect” by Australian Arts Review. Known for his powerhouse vocals, razor-sharp storytelling and irreverent sense of humour, Rupert has established himself as one of Australia’s most distinctive contemporary cabaret performers.
His acclaimed solo shows BROADWAY, BABY! have played to sold-out audiences at Ginger’s in Sydney, blending Broadway showstoppers, unexpected musical gems and autobiographical storytelling with tales of showbusiness, family, New York and a life lived slightly left of centre.
This November, Rupert returns to Ginger’s for a brand-new festive incarnation: BROADWAY, BABY! BELLS & WHISTLES!, his camp Christmas cabaret. Backed by a live band and joined by very special guests, the one-night-only show brings together Broadway favourites, Christmas classics with a twist, big laughs and even bigger numbers.
Rupert also stars alongside Australian comedy icon Mark Trevorrow (Bob Downe) and ARIA Award-winning musical director Bev Kennedy in OLD FRIENDS, their joyous mix of Broadway, pop classics, jazz standards, comedy and cabaret. Following sold-out seasons at Ginger’s, OLD FRIENDS is now hitting the road:
5 September — Brunswick Picture House, Brunswick Heads
11 September — Flamingos Live, Newcastle
18 September — The Vault, Port Kembla
20 September — Memo Music Hall, Melbourne
2 October — Ellington Jazz Club, Perth
14 November — Club Ashfield, Sydney

In 2025, Rupert toured as Philip McKrevis — Bob Downe’s nepo-nephew and the scene-stealing voice of Siri — in CHOOSE BOB! 40 Ridiculous Years. The production completed two major Australian tours, culminating in a sold-out performance at Sydney’s iconic Enmore Theatre and taking Rupert to some of the country’s great historic stages, including Her Majesty’s Theatre Ballarat and Theatre Royal Hobart.
Rupert’s career spans stage, screen, cabaret, hospitality, writing and media. He appeared as a featured judge on Channel Seven’s All Together Now alongside Julia Zemiro and Ronan Keating and has performed extensively in New York’s downtown cabaret scene, including appearances with cult New York performer Amber Martin at Joe’s Pub and Parkside Lounge.
In 2026, Rupert and Mark were also featured nationally on Nine’s Today Extra, bringing their particular brand of music, mischief and old-school showbusiness to morning television.
Away from the stage, Rupert is a contributing writer for News Corp Australia’s Prestige titles, including the Wentworth Courier, Southern Courier, North Shore Times and Mosman Daily. His journalism has seen him write about and interview an eclectic mix of artists, entertainers, cultural figures, personalities and people shaping Sydney life.
His own writing and storytelling increasingly explore family, identity, caregiving, reinvention and the extraordinary characters and places that have shaped his life. Rupert has also written for The Australian Women’s Weekly and is currently writing his memoir.
He is the grandson of Reverend Ted Noffs, founder of Sydney’s Wayside Chapel and Noffs Foundation — a legacy of creativity, compassion, activism and community that continues to inform Rupert’s life and work.
Whether singing a Broadway eleven-o’clock number, trading one-liners in a packed cabaret room, interviewing fascinating people or telling stories from a life spanning Kings Cross to New York City, Rupert approaches it all with the same philosophy:
There’s always another act.
