Bronte is 22 years old and very recently was diagnosed with breast cancer. This is one of the rarer cancers - making up 10-15% of diagnosed breast cancers. It’s practically unheard of at Bronte’s young age. In fact we’ve been told Bronte may be something of a medical anomaly, perhaps being the youngest person to receive this diagnosis.

This particular cancer is very challenging to treat, leaving young Bronte with a long and challenging path of treatment and recovery.

Bronte is the oldest daughter of much loved singer-songwriter Mark Moldre, thus a bunch of Sydney’s indie veterans drawn from iconic acts such as Bluebottle Kiss, Died Pretty, Crow, Glide and more are getting together with their current projects to raise money for Bronte’s treatment, and ongoing living expenses.

Infinity Broke - a furious percussion-heavy quartet led by Bluebottle Kiss founder Jamie Hutchings, Infinity Broke are a powerful exercise in dissonance, rhythm, and melody. Their latest release is the LP Your Dream My Jail

Mark Moldre - If Tom Waits, Elvis Costello and Jeff Tweedy were pushed out to sea in a rickety old boat they’d come up with something like this. Mark and band have a new album out entitled Nambucca Fables.

The Gin Palace - The Gin Palace possess a bruised beauty that bands like The Bad Seeds and The Afghan Whigs do so well. The band includes Peter Fenton of Crow and members of Glide. The group’s forthcoming album is entitled Year Of The Dog.

Joey’s Coop - Hang on a minute. You mean Died Pretty's Brett Myers has another band? Yep. For those of you that have been asleep at the wheel for the past decade, Brett has been quietly doing his thang in Joeys Coop. The group’s latest album is Lachlan Valley Dirt.

The Finalists - Led by former Scarlett guitarist and current Steve Kilbey band member Mark Tobin, The Finalists are an amalgamation of psych, jangle, indie, post-punk and shoegaze. Their latest release is their debut album First.

Doors are at 7:30 with the bands starting at 8pm.
