Hello!
After spending the second half of ‘24 becoming parents and spending some much needed home time, we are so excited to be heading back out on the road again in early ‘25 playing all over Australia in beautiful intimate venues and homes. We have a bunch of new songs and stories we’re itching to bring to you all, we’ve really missed seeing all your beautiful faces.
If you’re just meeting us for the first time, we are Brook St, a husband and wife duo from the Sunshine Coast comprising of Jason Daniels & Hannah Olivia. Our sound is a blend of Folk, Americana and Indie, pulling influence from artists such as Ocie Elliot, The Lumineers, John Denver, Simon & Garfunkel and The Paper Kites. It's been a heck of a ride since our first ever show on Jan 2nd 2023. Since then we've played over 70 shows in 7 countries. We've released 21 songs gaining over two and a half million streams on Spotify alone. Our single Chase The Night took out the number one slot for the AMRAP Australian Regional Chart for 4 weeks straight. Honestly, we’re just having a lot of fun doing what we love and it’s so exciting to us that other people seem to like it too!
We’ve had the incredible opportunity to open for many artists we really look up to, including Australian folk legend Tay Oskee, joining him on two Australian tours and his '23 European tour and are heading back with him to Europe straight after this Australian run. We also landed the opening spot for The Dreggs' headline show at Fortitude Valley Music Hall in Brisbane, we also got to play a feature at Fanny Lumsden's headline show at Tamworth Town Hall. We also managed to sneak onto the lineups for a hand full of festivals including Woodford Folk Fest '23/24, Tamworth Country Music Festival '24 ‘25, Surfana Festival '23 (Netherlands) and Reef Sounds '23 (located on a flaoting pontoon in the Great Barrier Reef QLD)
In July we became parents to our precious daughter Willow and have had an incredibly special 6 months soaking up the time at home, seeing her grow and learning how to be parents. We’ve been imagining how we can continue to do music and also be the best parents to her, hence why we’ve landed on intimate venues and homes once again to host these shows as they are perfect for our smallest friends to attend.
We’ve spent a lot of time writing and recordings songs while she naps and can‘t wait to try them out in front of a live audience.
We want to personally thank all the wonderful hosts again for reaching out to us and letting us use their spaces for beautiful evenings of music, stories, singalongs and connection.
See you all out there,
Jason & Hannah (& Willow)
