Workshop Description

Mahjong is a traditional Chinese tile-based game that requires skill, strategy, and luck to win. In Hong Kong and many other parts Asia, it’s a quintessential part of family gatherings and a popular activity for gossiping with friends and neighbors.

Want to tap into the current Mahjong craze? This beginner-friendly workshop is perfectly designed for newcomers! We’ll dive into the basics of how to play Mahjong with a focus on the standard Hong Kong-style ruleset. You’ll learn the names and values of each Mahjong tile, how to set up the game, and the basics to forming a winning hand.

Enjoy a fun and casual atmosphere where the emphasis is on learning together! No prior experience is needed, so come relax, meet new people, and play some Mahjong!
