Brownhill Creek Recreation Park Guided Walk

Led by Mitcham Historical Society committee member and Mitcham Local History Service staff member, Francesco di Zazzo. Brownhill Creek Recreation Park/Wirraparinga is a beautiful and historic park located some 7km. from Adelaide’s CBD. Within the 52-hectare park is a 4km section of Brownhill Creek/Willawilla, significant native flora and fauna and important Kaurna and European cultural heritage. Large riv­er red gums line Brown­hill Creek while blue gum wood­land climbs the val­ley slopes. The park also sup­ports a small, threat­ened, ecosys­tem of grey box grassy woodland.
