Brues Alehouse 10th Anniversary Celebration featuring Heavy Diamond Ring
Event description
Come celebrate 10 years of Brues Alehouse with one of our very favorite artists, Heavy Diamond Ring! General Admission is free, and VIP tickets are now on sale.
Nineteen years after founding indie- folk giants Paper Bird, vocalist Sarah Anderson and songwriter/guitarist Paul DeHaven embark on their latest collaboration, Heavy Diamond Ring. HDR harnesses their proven signature partnership of open-hearted All- American folk-rock towards refreshing new territories. Led by Anderson’s smooth-as-honey vocals and DeHaven’s rugged guitar chops, the band has been described as “open-road, long drive music,” possessing “a little bit of twang, and a whole lot of beef,” and their live show as “infectious and contagious.” The band is rounded out by veteran knockouts Blake Stepan (bass), Mike Lang (keys), and Orion Tate Ignezi (drums).
When Heavy Diamond Ring locked themselves into the mountain studio this winter, they had some rough outlines, a few days, a ton of ambition, and a goal to keep a tight deadline. The result is their stunning third LP, Wildflower Lane, nine brand-new songs that breathe like a cool breeze, brought to life through the magic of trust and rapport of a band exploring the principles of “first thought, best thought.”
Since the dissolution of their previous project Paper Bird, singer Sarah Anderson and guitarist/songwriter Paul DeHaven have been fine tuning their craft with Heavy Diamond Ring. Wildflower Lane finds them at their creative peak; an effortless, palpable ease permeates the tracks here.
